Asphalt Stripes (Crossing) consist of 17 blocks of asphalt laid on the beach of Aabenraa, at the border between Denmark and Germany. It
covers the entire width of the beach, from the concrete pavement to the open sea. The work explores the notion of borders and territorial boundaries by confronting the area with a bold intervention that highlights the relationships between space, body, physical circumstances, and the poetics of the environment.
